Jill Gutowitz is a screenwriter, director and author. Her short film THE LADIES, starring Lisa Ann Walter, premiered at OutFest in 2022 and played at festivals across North America, winning Best Director at the LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival. She has also directed promotional videos for Netflix, and was a staff writer on Quibi’s GAYME SHOW. Her first book, the collection of essays GIRLS CAN KISS NOW, was released in 2022 via Simon & Schuster and earned her rave reviews from the Associated Press, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Her writing has been published in The New Yorker, Time, Vanity Fair and Vulture.
